Institutional Data

Northwestern Polytechnic University is committed to student success and tracks graduation rates based on a student’s entering cohort. For the undergraduate programs, the entering cohort is determined utilizing the IPEDS Outcome Measures. For the graduate programs, the entering cohort is determined utilizing a methodology similar to the IPEDS Outcome Measures where first-time students are represented as first-time graduate students.

IPEDS

IPEDS is the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). At this time, NPU provide data to IPEDS on a voluntary basis as it does not participate in federal student aid programs. The IPEDS survey collects data on enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid, which is made available to students and parents through the College Navigator college search Web site and to researchers and others through the IPEDS Data Center.
