Optional Practical Training (OPT)
Optional Practical Training (OPT) is work authorization available to international students who have been in valid F-1 status for at least two consecutive semesters and who plan to seek employment in the U.S. in their field of study. OPT is recommended by designated advisers at NPU, but final approval is granted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). For more specific information about OPT, please visit our OPT pages.
At NPU, we understand that it is not always easy making ends meet, especially in one of most expensive areas in the world to live. The University, therefore, takes great effort to provide training and study opportunities for students that help them earn a bit of money for their living expenses while training for the working world that they will enter after graduation. To this end, NPU offers several on-campus opportunities to exceptional students:
1. ST - Student Trainee
2. TA - Teaching/Grading Assistant
3. AA - Administrative Assistant
For more information on these on-campus jobs, please contact the NPU Career Center.
